Please join the APT DC Chapter, the Japanese American Memorial Foundation, the National Park Service, and Davis Buckley Architects and Planners for an exciting opportunity to volunteer at the Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism during World War II.

Beginning at 10AM on Saturday, June 3rd, we will spend the day cleaning the memorial walls and water element poolSupplies have been generously donated by the Japanese American Memorial Foundation, and lunch will be provided.

The materials we will be using are non-toxic detergents and biological cleaners, in addition to simple hand tools.  Even though we will be providing basic training and consider these materials safe to handle, we recommend you come prepared with the following:

  • Clothes you can get dirty in!
  • Safety glasses and gloves
  • Water
We look forward to seeing you at this important event!
