Please join APT DC for a workshop on gilding given by John Canning & Company. The workshop will include a hands-on demonstration and an opportunity for participants to try gilding.
John Canning & Company will present the best practices and techniques for gilding, one of their specialties. Atop the highest domes and inside iconic landmarks, churches, theatres, and residences, John Canning & Company's artisans have gilded them all – including the application and glazing of 180,000 square feet of gold and silver leaf in ten weeks at Radio City Music Hall.
The event will begin at 9:00 AM and will include a light breakfast and coffee. The Christman Company will be hosting us at their office in Sterling, Virginia. Should you need a ride from the nearest Metro station or would like to carpool, please email us.
