You joined us for a tour of Glen Echo as part of our fall symposium. Now join us for our virtual annual meeting as we welcome NPS Park Ranger Kevin Patti to commemorate the centennial of Glen Echo Park's crown jewel, the Dentzel Carousel. Installed in 1921, the carousel, made by the Dentzel Carousel Company of Germantown, PA, is a classic example of hand woodcarving popular during the early 1900s. We will learn the story of the carousel's creation and about the efforts to restore it. We will also see lots of pictures of the beautiful carousel animals that have now all been carefully restored.
Come spend the evening (virtually) with colleagues and friends, network with other chapter members, and participate in games and our annual meeting, including the election of the 2022 APT DC Board.
We hope to see you there! Just follow the carousel animals to fun, fun, fun. Festive backgrounds and ugly holiday sweaters clearly encouraged.
Please note: Video will be recorded. Zoom access information will be included in your registration confirmation.
