Join us for an exciting presentation from Associate Tim Bowden of Silman on preservation in Nepal.  Tim spent 2017-2018 volunteering with Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust as they worked to rebuild some of the countries centuries old UNESCO World Heritage temples after devastating earthquakes.  The presentation will include a brief history of the country, its approach to preservation, and several examples of how this influenced the technical approach to rebuilding.

Tim Bowden is an Associate at Silman where he works as a structural engineer on a variety of new and existing structures.  Originally from Minnesota, Tim obtained both a Bachelors and M.Eng from Cornell University.  When not travelling the world Tim has worked with Silman in both their New York and DC offices.

Please note: Video will be recorded.
